This week, The Age, Melbourne’s thrilled photo gallery, showcased a sextet of breathtaking visuals capturing the vibrant spirit of the community at February 15, 2025. From the serene beauty of bear’s wine bar on North Melbourne to the bustling life of the Prahran pooches, these images highlight the diverse range of humandoing in Melbourne. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, The Age staff and contributors are collaborating to restore what has long been an exploding online photo upload, which appears to have experienced some sort of disconnection or transformation.

This week, field workers at The Age also faced some challenges. A section of the photo gallery was down for repair. As it happens, The Age keeps cutting its losses, but its humble team is determined to ensure it forever remains a place for its community’s best.
When The Age worked withrios and contributors to humanize the photo gallery, it was clear its new month needed to reflect a more deeply reflecting community.
