Honda’s nine-month profit down year-on-year as it ends talks with Nissan

Honda Reporting Profit Decline

Japan-based automaker Honda reported a 7% decline in profits for the nine months ending in December 2023, impacting its profit concerns. Honda, which had been struggling with electric vehicles and smart car developments, is now shutting down its efforts to form a joint holding company with Nissan Motor Cos., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Motors Ltd. This decision was driven by issues with supply chains and component manufacturing, which hindered the growth of the company’s electric vehicles and smart car operations.


Honda’s Production Lines

Honda’s skilled workers moved ahead with its plans to rebuild theизi怀抱 twice, increasing production to meet global demand. This has allowed the manufacturer to focus on producing high-quality models, particularly for the United States, which has seen steady auto sales growth.


Auto Sales in China and Japan

Despite the declining profits, Honda’s auto sales in the United States and Japan have remained strong.
