2022: A Turnaround in Electric Airplanes
In 2022, Eviation Aircraft, a global leader in electric flight solutions, announced a significant shift in its business model. The company pivoted from traditional to electric aircraft, marking a pivotal moment in its aviation comeback. The first electric-powered airplane, Alice, aimed to make regional flights more competitive and accessible. Arlington, Wash.-based Eviation, laid off nearly half of its workforce in late 2022, focusing on identifying key partnerships to propel the electric revolution forward. The decision was adopted after a thorough evaluation of ongoing development needs, reflecting the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. With the Alice airplane already in its first battery-powered test flight at Moses Lake’s airport, the company was on track to slash development timelines as they sought further funding. The空气गती business recovered, with plans for a cargo version further showcased. The Alexander Corporation, a major赢家 of the 2010 tender, and the Engineering and Management Group continued to invest firmly in electric solutions. As of last month, Eviation reported a workforce of 64 employees, reflecting the impact of the program. Now, the company’s vision for the future of air travel remains a driving force behind its efforts to establish itself as a global leader.
